The Schnabel - excentric, writer, painter, director, auteur and general larger-tan-life persona. Julian lives in a pink "palazzo" in the West Willage, when not wearing a pyjama designed by his wife (actually, he always wears a pyjama designed by his wife) Julian divides his time between painting, writing scripts, doing art direction for Lou Reed, directing a new award winning movie (the latest being 'The Diving Bell and the Butterfly') or spending times in his various residences around the globe.
As much as I enjoy the mans work, I enjoy reading about the human dynamo and phenomenon that is Julian Schnabel even more! The New York Review Of Books just posted a really good article about the mans movies, writings and paitings! Read read read!!
