Tropic Thunder is Ben Stillers first endeavour as director after Zoolander. Stiller, starring alongside Robert Downey Jr and Jack Black portraits three actors being cast for the largest and most expensive apocalypse-nowish vietnam movie ever. The plotline in short is that director Steve Coogan get fed up with his prima donna cast and drops them into the jungle to fend for themselves. The actors think they're doing some sort of full-immersion filmmaking, but ends up getting in in real danger..
Stillers character is a action hero superstar, who's just adopted a baby from asia, but worries that "all the good ones are gone". Downey Jr (Kirk Lazarus) makes his first appearance as a black man with the help of some very politically correct shoeshine, alá Al Jolson.
No word yet as to if we'll se Sillers father, Jerry Stiller (Frank Costanza) celebrating general life and festivus as a supporting cast..
Sounds good on paper, and if it turns out half as good as zoolander im happy. The teaser (not so much comedy as explosions) can be watched here.

stiller ser snygg ut, men jag ställer mig alltid jävligt skeptisk till viet-coms. kul att se vad ben gör med det dock. han brukar ju blanda högt och lågt. men ett säkert kort är ju alltid jerry, som sagt.
det är dock väldigt förvirrande varför Jack Black klätt ut sig till meatloaf?
