Life After Dwangela?

DWIGHT

Mark your calendars for the 10th of April, the day the world is set right again and the Dwight is once again released upon us! In anticipation of the season premiere of the Office, Kristin Dos Santos who runs her most excellent blog on the E! online site talked to Rainn Wilson and Office show runner Greg Daniels about the future of Dunder Mifflin Infinity. Highlights were a scoop about the future of the phenomenon that is Dwangela:

"Sadly, a reconciliation between Dwight and Angela did not transpire over the last three months. Actually, plans for Dwight’s new dating life are already under way. In fact, since Rainn’s 2004 audition—in which he improved a few of his ex-girlfriends—Greg Daniels has wanted to bring those characters to life. “I think we’re going to see a lot more facets of Dwight when it comes to women,” said Rainn. Oh, and he also mentioned something about a former ladylove, currently stationed in Kuwait City! Still, Greg promises, a Dwangela reunion is not out of the question: “Where there’s life, there’s hope.”

We also got some insight into Ryans Web endeavour:

"The website initiative, which Mr. Ryan Howard introduced at the beginning of the season, is crumbling under him. It’s currently experiencing a number of problems—among them, an infestation of sexual predators."

Plus some insight into the rumoured Dwight spinoff:

"It ain’t happening! Rainn called the idea “preposterous,” explaining that it all got started when he made an off-the-cuff joke to a reporter who decided to take his jest seriously. Apparently, Dwight’s previous stint at Staples was quite enough to keep his butt firmly planted outside Michael Scott’s office."

And incase you've missed it, there is an "official" Dunder-Mifflin Infinity website up and running, register yourself as a customer for all your paper and general Office needs!

Other (late) season premiers for your torrent client to look forward to are:

Battlestar Galactica (Wooohooo) - Premiers April 4 (Sci Fi)
Boston Legal (Semi-Wooohoo) - Premiers April 8 (ABC)
30 Rock & the Office (Wooo-hooo-wooooo) - Both premiers April 10 (NBC)
Smallville - Premiers April 17 (CW)
House - Premiers April 21 (Fox)

The riches has already rolled out the season premiere (March 18), but I have yet to make time to catch it.. My only real gripe with this season premieres is that it looks like there will be no Law And Order: Criminal Intent, was the show not renewed for this season or what?? Watching Vincent D'Onofrio acting all mongoloid was one of the highlights of my TV week and I miss it already..

As mongoloid as he seems in the TV series, Vincent is the one who played the character Private Pyle who went mental and killed Sarge and then shot himself.
He also played the bad guy in Men in Black (Edgar The Bug).
But I guess the common denominator for all his roles is a touch of mongoloid in his appearance.
